One of the greats of animation,Hayao Miyazaki,returns withStudio Ghiblito bring us a visual marvel called: "The Boy and The Heron". And we can already enjoy a small preview, which reveals itsrelease date.
Today we were revealed with a small advance what will be the next animated work of the multifaceted Hayao Miyazaki, in his return after a long time of rest, came to bring us a work that visually can fascinate more than one.
What is known about The Boy and The Heron?
Taking into account what is shown in the preview, it will be asemi-autobiographical fantasy film,that tells a story about life, death and creation, all from Miyazaki's ingenious vision and Ghibli’s sublime style.
They have only revealed a small synopsis, which places us in a world of fantasy, located during World War II, where death ends, and life finds a new beginning.
The preview was uploaded today to the YouTube account ofGKIDS Films, and has left us totally eager to see the official trailer and discover what else it holds for what promises to be one of the new jewels of the studio.
When can we see the movie?
In Japan, it premiered on July 14th of this year, being a huge box office success. Despite not doing almost any promotion, it managed to raise 1.830 billion yen (3.2 million dollars) just in its opening weekend.
So far, no release date has been confirmed for Latin America, but what is known is that forUnited Statesthe film will arrive thisDecember 8th. Let's hope the wait isn't too long to enjoy what could be,possibly, Hayao Miyazaki’s last movie.
