Characters from the anime Bocchi The Rock! recently appeared in a fun advertisement for I-LOHAS, a natural water brand from the Coca-Cola group of brands in Japan. The ad follows a story about how the band got a job offer and how to convey a message of instilling confidence in those who doubt their abilities.

A limited-edition commemorative poster of the collaboration will also be available, with only 4,000 pieces for the public, showing the four main girls posing and enjoying this delicious mineral water.

It's worth noting that this isn’t the first time Coca-Cola has leveraged an existing anime franchise for its campaigns. Earlier this year, in January, their coffee brand Georgia Coffee worked together with the 2022 reboot of Urusei Yatsura. Other recent ads featuring anime themes include Blue Lock for the Nissin UFO Ramen brand and Cyberpunk: Edgerunners for Nissin’s NEGI-SIO noodle line.

About Bocchi The Rock!:

The first season of Bocchi the Rock! premiered last October and consisted of a total of 12 episodes. It was animated by CloverWorks and directed by Keichiro Saito. The main cast of the anime includes Yoshino Aoyama as Hitori “Bocchi” Goto, Sayumi Suzushiro as Nijika Ijichi, Saku Mizuno as Ryo Yamada, and Ikumi Hasegawa as Ikuyo Kita. Together they form Kessoku Band. Crunchyroll is streaming the first season and describes it as follows:

Hitori Gotoh, "Bocchi-chan," is a girl who is so introverted and shy with people that she always started her conversations with “Ah…” During her high school years, she began playing guitar and wanted to join a band because she thought it might be an opportunity for even someone as shy as her to shine. But since she had no friends, she ended up practicing the guitar for six hours every day alone.

After becoming a skilled guitarist, she uploaded videos of herself playing guitar to the internet under the name "Guitar Hero" and fantasized about performing at her school's cultural festival concert. But not only could she not find bandmates, but before she knew it, she was in high school and still couldn’t make even one friend! She came close to becoming a recluse, but one day, Nijika Ijichi, the drummer of Kessoku Band, approached her. And because of that, her everyday life began to change little by little…
