Synopsis
Romance 101 revolves around Bareum, a 21-year-old university student who loves to plan her daily schedule, down to the smallest detail. And she completes every item on the list perfectly. Her best friend Doeun gets a headache just looking at Bareum's agenda. But it gives Bareum satisfaction and fulfillment to fill in every box on the list.
But, if there’s one thing that seems like she can’t cross off her to-do list is getting a boyfriend. After dedicating all her life to studying, Bareum has no idea how to flirt or start a relationship. However, this all changes as soon as Bareum enters the university's programming club, driven by her infatuation with Jaehyeon.
Characters of Romance 101
Jung Bareum
Bareum is a university student who leads a sincere and well-organized life thanks to her agenda. Until she enters the programming club, driven by her desire to learn and get to know Jaehyeon better. However, when she enters, she discovers new people, including Yuyeon.
Shin Jaehyeon
Jaehyeon is a university student known for his cute looks and friendly personality. He’s also Bareum's crush and the leader of the programming club. Jaehyeon manages to get Bareum to join the newly founded club thanks to his charisma.
Na Yuyeon
Yuyeon is one of Jaehyeon's friends and also belongs to the programming club. Yuyeon lives a flexible life although he has a "bad character". But, he really has a slightly tsundere personality, just barks and doesn’t bite. Somehow, Yuyeon and Bareum end up sharing good times together after running into each other so much at the club. Causing a relationship to develop between them.
Kang Doeun
Doeun is Bareum's best friend since high school. Doeun gets a headache just looking at Bareum’s agenda, but still, she’s always there for her.
Opinion about Romance 101
This is a good story of life, many of the characters have identifiable problems (mainly in romance, but also in other topics). The rhythm is good and there are no rushed moments. The comedy of this story is also very good as well as the art, a little peculiar, yes, but pleasant. In the end, each of the characters come to understand themselves, their friends, and support each other in their decisions. Everyone makes different decisions based on their different personalities and situations. Without a doubt, this is such a touching story that will make the reader remember it when they find themselves in a situation similar to the webtoon.
