This manhwa tells the story ofBaam, who had been alone his entire life until he metRachel.Now, however, Rachel is determined to climb the Tower and is willing to leave Baam behind to do so. After Rachel disappears under a veil of light, Baam follows her and promises to ascend the Tower in hopes of finding her again.
But, the Tower is a dangerous place full of ancient secrets, fearsome monsters, and infamous humans. Each floor is protected by a Warden who subjects daring challengers to grueling tests that will push them to their limits.
While facingHeadon, the warden of the first floor, Baam discovers that he is an "Irregular", someone who was not chosen by the Tower but managed to enter on his own, an extremely rare event within the Tower. However, regardless of this revelation, his path forward is clear. Whether it’s wealth, power, glory, or even reuniting with Rachel, all desires will be fulfilled at the top of the Tower.

Twenty-fifth Baam (main character of Tower of God)
In the story,Baamenters The Tower in search of his best friend Rachel, the only person who visited and cared for him during the years of isolation he spent in a cave below the Tower. After entering the Tower, he is told that all the answers he seeks will be answered if he climbs to the top of the tower, although immediately he is presented with an apparently impossible and mortal test. Baam succeeds and is allowed to proceed to the second floor, where all aspiring Regulars begin their ascent. Throughout the manhwa, Baam makes several friends among the candidates and together they pass the numerous tests of the contest.
Khun Agüero Agnis
Khunis a Regular and one of Baam’s best friends. He is presented as a sensible character. He is part of the Khun family, which is one of the 10 Great Families. He is one of the "disinherited sons" of Khun Edahn and because his older sister did not become one of Jahad's princesses, he was expelled from his family. After being expelled from the family, he stole goods from the Khun family treasury and decided to climb the tower.
Rak Wraithraiser
Rakis a large spear wielder, powerful, and very confident. He reluctantly teamed up with Baam and Khun at the beginning of the story, and quickly became fond of them during the following tests. Due to his reptilian features, he is sometimes referred to as "crocodile". Rak refers to his friends and people he meets as "turtles" of different colors and characteristics.
Rachel "Michelle Light"
Rachelwas Baam’s best and only friend, as she was the only one who visited him in his “cave”. She yearns to see the stars, which is one of the legendary rewards that await her at the top of the Tower, because she "fears the Night".
Opinion about Tower of God
Really this is a manhwa I recommend if you like extensive stories like One Piece or Bleach. Tower of God is on that level, but you need to read it a little more to become fond of the plot. The art improves and you start to relate to the characters as you read more chapters.
Initially it might seem like something where you just have to climb towers, but it’s not. The story will be very different from what one might imagine. It is truly a masterpiece, quite entertaining and can hook you after reading its first volume. Honestly, something I loved was the slow pace at the beginning. Once you start seeing that the tests become increasingly complicated and deep, that's what ends up trapping you wanting to know what will happen.
