The Tutorial Is Too Hard is a manhwa that, despite starting out as a very generic shonen adventure, manages to create a very interesting atmosphere of tension. The story centers on Lee Ho Jae, a former professional gamer who, after retiring and being bored out of his mind, is invited to a world called "Tutorial." This invitation is quite strange, appearing as a floating menu in front of him. Without hesitation, he accepts. Like the professional gamer he is, he selects the highest of the four available difficulties: Hell difficulty.
This is a fairly typical beginning, seeming like a generic isekai, but his first encounter with the other members of the Hell difficulty group will be something our protagonist won't forget.

At first, the protagonist simply seems like a gamer who views everything that happens at the beginning of the manhwa as a game. He wants to contribute his professional gamer knowledge to his initial party, but everything takes a 360-degree turn when certain problems arise during his adventure. He's a protagonist with a cold mentality, thinking "this is just a game" as he faces the "Tutorial."

Generally, this type of manhwa has a gentle beginning where, due to some traumatic experience, the protagonist manages to unleash a "hidden potential." But in Lee Ho Jae's case, it doesn't feel so forced. It's more progressive, and you can see that it's not easy for him to advance, as it takes him many attempts to complete a single floor.
And if we consider the number of floors in the tutorial, which seems to be a huge total of 100, there appears to be a long time before the action ends. However, the story feels a bit rough when it starts to involve the other "tutorial challengers." One of its weak points is the development of some of the characters or even its first "villains," who are simply shown to be the way they are because they want to "reign over everything"—something a bit absurd given their situation.
