The Universe of Lv999 no Murabito: From Web Novel to Anime
The popular light novel series Lv999 no Murabito is set to make the leap to the screen with an anime adaptation scheduled for 2026. This production is the result of the series’ massive success, which was first published on "Shosetsuka ni Narou" in 2015, accumulating over 3.8 million copies sold and generating a successful manga adaptation. The story, set in a fantasy world with predefined levels and roles, introduces us to Kagami Koji, a villager who inexplicably reaches level 999, defying the world’s expectations. His path crosses with Alice, the Demon King's daughter, who seeks a peaceful coexistence between humans and demons.
Voice Cast and Their First Impressions
The anime's arrival is bolstered by a top-tier voice cast. Satoshi Inomata will voice Kagami Koji, while Nao Toyama will play Alice. Both actors have expressed their enthusiasm to be part of the adaptation. Inomata commented on the meaning of "normality" in the context of the story and how Kagami’s character challenges conventions as a villager with unusual strength. For her part, Toyama described Alice as an angel within the demonic race, highlighting her innocence and cuteness.
Creative Team and Production
The anime will be directed by Yoshinobu Kasai, known for his work on 180-Byō de Kimi no Mimi o Shiawase ni Dekiru ka?, and produced by Brains Base. The series composition is handled by Shinzō Fujita (To Your Eternity). Kentarō Matsumoto is in charge of character design, while Hiroshi Nakamura will compose the music, promising a memorable soundtrack.
