Synopsis of Blue Exorcist
Humans and demons are two sides of the same coin, just as they are Assiah and Gehenna, their respective worlds. The only way to travel between the two worlds is through possession. However, Satan, the ruler of Gehenna, has not been able to find a worthy vessel to possess and, consequently, remains locked in his world. In a desperate move to conquer Assiah, he sends his son, with the purpose that in the future he will become a worthy vessel capable of becoming the king of demons.
The story follows Rin Okumura, who seems like an ordinary boy, until one day he is ambushed by demons. His world turns upside down when he discovers that he is the son of Satan and that his father is looking for him to return in order to finally carry out the conquest of Assiah together.
