Ho-sung Lee (protagonist of Beautiful New World)
He is a man who has not been lucky since the beginning, and who is forced by various events to let out his wildest and most manipulative side in order to face those who are making his life impossible. He believes he is not a bad person, but cannot resist his innermost desires.
Mi Jung Kim
Manager of the company and our protagonist’s boss. She is an intelligent woman who will do everything in her power to maintain order and status in the company. But unfortunately for her, she was involved in an accident that she caused, and where the only witness wasHo-sung Lee. From that moment on, she will try everything possible to prevent the truth from coming to light,anywaypossible.
So-ri Na
So-ri Na is that character who does everything possible from the beginning to make you dislike her. She is jealous, bad-tempered, conceited and the list goes on and on. She initiates the problems forHo-sung Leein the company and ruins his reputation, but unfortunately for her (and by grace of karma) she also gets involved with him, as he begins to discover her misdeeds, and uses them to take revenge on her.
Ju-wan Cha (supporting character)
There is not much that can be said about this subject. He is the partner ofSo-ri Naand just like her, he is a unpleasant person, with the difference that he earns that title later in the story. He starts being a fool, but problems in his relationship withSo-ri Nabring out his womanizing and perverted side.
Suk Yeong Yoo (supporting character)
Perhaps the only character with whom one can sympathize at least from the beginning. She is a sweet and innocent and very beautiful girl, who meets one dayHo-sung Leeand between them a kind of chemistry begins to emerge, which helps them to cope with all the problems (which are not few) that are coming for both of them.
Opinion about Beautiful New World
Manipulation and deception is the bread and butter of this story. Every character desperately seeks a way to win in this tangled game of betrayals, and lots of sex (seriously, lots).
Personally, I am not very caught up in this type of stories, because absolutely all the characters (with very few exceptions) feel like real human beings, who would not seek to ruin your life for the slightest misunderstanding. Simply a story of ruthless adults, resolving their problems with lies and sex.
