This story centers on Cassia Ruberno, daughter of the Count of the Simone Empire, who is forced by order of the Emperor to marry Zester Greze, a war hero commoner. After 10 years of marriage with no love or money, she ends up dying from an incurable disease of unknown causes.

However, fate returns her to the day after meeting her husband, 10 years earlier. Generally speaking, she only thought of one thing: not repeating the same life before. So she declares herself on "strike" where she will live as she pleases until the day she leaves.

But it seems her husband Zester wants to earn his heart in this life. Why doesn't he hate the efforts of his husband now? It’s strange, «I think I might be able to change him in this life».

Main Characters

Cassia Ruberno

Main Protagonist. She is the daughter of the Count of the Simone Empire. Recognized for being a very beautiful woman and most like an angel. With a strong and determined personality. By order of the Emperor, she is forced to marry Zester Greze. At first, she thought that love might arise at some point since it’s normal to have arranged marriages; she liked her husband because he was a handsome man with an incredible body. But several situations demoralized her marriage like "infidelities", "abandonments", "poor communication" and "apathy".

Her only motivation for staying there were her two cute children. The Greze County went through many hardships so they almost never had money and she had to work hard to keep her lands afloat; her husband’s war service business added more expenses than gains. Stress and lack of rest worsened her health, catching an incurable disease of unknown causes.

But she didn't expect to go back 10 years earlier, just when she went through the worst night of her life, her first time with her husband. She had two options: divorce, which she didn’t like much because she couldn’t live without her two children, or endure the insensitive husband until she had her children and leave. She declares that she will remain on "strike".

Cassia Ruberno- Reseña Cariño, hoy voy hacer huelga

Zester Greze

He is a tall and muscular man who doesn't have much knowledge about economics. He is of common origin (mercenary) who was hired by the imperial family in the war. The Emperor granted him the title of Baron, giving him a barren land remaining from the empire in turn. They also offered an arranged marriage with Cassia. He was nicknamed "the emperor’s dog". He constantly signs up for wars to generate income for his lands (since that's the only thing he's good at), however he was constantly cheated.

Returning to the past, you can see that he is a man who only shows a rigid face and doesn't know how to express himself. He is a man who feels constantly inferior to others so he tends to feel like he doesn’t deserve to be by his wife’s side. Occasionally Cassia brings out the size of her husband’s large member, so he tries to be more careful when being intimate. Noticing that his wife wants nothing to do with him, he seeks a way to make her feel more confident with him, change what she doesn't like and try to spend more time with her. Demonstrating his childish behavior when he is with her.

Opinion of "Honey, today I'm going on strike"

"Honey, today I'm going on strike", is a story that has enchanted me from the beginning, although it may be somewhat subjective since it’s one of the first stories I read. However, now it’s quite advanced and many things have been discovered that at the time I hadn’t noticed but which are like a gear that join together and make the story more complex.

Undoubtedly, the story is captivating. It's the typical return to the past after your death and you don’t want to repeat the same destiny. However, the protagonist decides to live the same hell in order to see her beloved children (moving). On the other hand, we see how her husband gradually changes his personality and tries to win over the protagonist’s heart.

The most important thing is the background: why did she return to the past? How did that happen? I have two situations or hypotheses (of course, I'm not entirely clear yet) 1- It was caused by a mana stone that returned her to the past, but who? Some say it was the husband and another that it was the son who sacrificed himself for that to happen... 2- The god made her return to the past with the sacrifice of Zester.

The only thing that is clear is the sacrifice of someone. These two situations make you want to keep reading this story. The plot is captivating and its drawing is beautiful which will improve as more chapters pass and it should be noted that the coloring is exquisite. Now, which hypothesis do you think is really happening? Will the protagonist have her children? Will she have a happy ending? Has this story caught your attention?
