As soon as Reinhardt Lincke regains consciousness, he realizes that he is 15 years in the past, at his father's funeral, where his husband asks him for a divorce; she immediately stabs him in the leg. The dilemma is that he is the heir prince.

Despite being the culprit, Reinhardt receives the punishment and is exiled to his mother’s barren lands. However, fate seems to smile on her when, during the bumpy journey to her place of exile, she is saved by Will Cohlonna, her husband's “rabid dog,” who was a war hero and the illegitimate son of the emperor in her previous life.

Thirsty for revenge, Reinhardt decides to give Will a new name, tame him, and use him for her vengeance. Will she succeed in fulfilling her revenge?

Characters from Tame My Ex-Husband's Rabid Dog

Reinhard Delfina Linke (Main protagonist of Tame My Ex-Husband’s Rabid Dog)

When her father dies, her life goes downhill. The prince, at the wake, asks for the dissolution of their marriage. What he didn’t count on is that our protagonist had already lived this moment and wasn't going to make the same mistakes again; this time she wanted revenge. She wants Michell’s death but doesn’t achieve it and is exiled to her mother’s barren lands. There she meets Wilhelm, who saves her and realizes he is the rabid dog of the prince in her past life. Which she raises to carry out her vengeance.

Wilhelm Colonna

(William in other translations) in his previous life was called Bill Colonna or the prince’s rabid dog. He is known as a half-breed of a barbarian tribe, who was the illegitimate son of Antijeh (current emperor). He has a great attachment to our protagonist and although she sees him as a child, he harbors obsessive romantic feelings for her.

Dietrich Ernst

Childhood friend of Reinhard; they played all the time and is one of Count Linke’s most trusted knights. For a while, he was also our protagonist's first love. He is a person who easily establishes friendships. He helps Wilhelm train with the sword (at Reinhard’s request) and from the beginning notices the attachment his pupil has for our protagonist. He becomes our protagonist's right hand and is of great help to everyone.

Michell Alanquez

Heir prince. He is a person who complains about everything and only thinks about himself. He is referred to as an incompetent prince on several occasions. He sends Count Linke to resolve his problems in a war, causing the latter’s death; then he arbitrarily dissolves his marriage with our protagonist. Barely exiled, Reinhard takes over the county.

Canaria

Princess Canaria had been taken as a prisoner of war by the empire but the heir prince fell in love with her. She is treated like a servant by the prince and empress; therefore, if she has any degree of control over someone, she feels great pleasure. Despite appearing innocent, she wants everything Reinhard has or had, just like Michell and Wilhelm.

Opinion on Tame My Ex-Husband's Rabid Dog

Tame My Ex-Husband’s Rabid Dog is a somewhat complex story to understand at first; honestly, the second time I read it was when I more or less managed to grasp the situation. We can appreciate that our protagonist has a sea of misfortunes one after another and the difficulties our protagonist goes through; however, her mentality of wanting to take revenge is quite justified and grows stronger as the series progresses.

The art is interesting, they use rather dark colors that give it that dramatic touch and the contrast of each character makes you think that everyone has a mask that hides very well (almost identical to reality). It’s a series that is already taking shape for me, so I've started to like it, and if given a chance, I don’t doubt that it will also appeal to others as it does to me.
