I'm living with my mother-in-law, she tells us a story where it is well known that living with one's mother-in-law is basically hell. So Elaen ends up marrying a poor merchant without a family, where in theory it should be an easy way to "avoid" that kind of problems.
Well, that was our protagonist's plan, however she realizes that her husband, Ahen, lied to her, and that he is actually the son of the fierce Great Mage of the empire, Kanessis Corenea, with whom she will have to live in his palace!
Although intimidated at first, Elaen realizes that Kanessis is nothing like the figures from the mother-in-law horror stories her older sisters told her, ending up falling in love with his charisma and unexpected kindness. The problem here really is the hidden motive of Ahen's marriage to Elaen, which she only discovers after the fact. But with Kanessis’ support, Elaen is willing to face all the challenges of her marriage. Perhaps, after all, living with her mother-in-law has been the best thing that has ever happened to her in her life.
Characters from "I'm Living With My Mother-In-Law"
Main Characters
Elaen Apatey
She is a 16-year-old girl, with a tender and small appearance, as she looks like she is 10 years old, but it is due to medication that her mother administered to her since her father died. She is the fourth daughter of the former viscount Apatey of the Soren kingdom, from a noble family without riches, and is known in the neighborhood for being constantly scolded by her mother only for not having been born as a man.
At first she is forced to marry a man she does not know just for the interests of her mother, but thanks to Ehen's marriage proposal, she manages to escape that situation. She moves with him in a cabin taking care of the ducks. However now she has to go live with her mother-in-law, not before her older sisters scare her about it.
She is surprised that her married life is a lie, she is the daughter-in-law of the great mage and is a family of millionaire commoners. She shows herself shy and scared at first with her mother-in-law, but gradually gains confidence with her to the point of considering her her own mother.

Kanessis Corenea
She is a beautiful woman, with a strong and explosive character. The story tells that the world was in danger with the monsters, one day she, a mage without any title, took care of getting rid of all the monsters. The king was going to compensate her with a title but she refused and instead asked for the mountainous Shasrias lands (where the monsters are and no one wants to live). Instead, she built a giant palace there, as splendid as the royal palace. She is known as the great mage.
With so many duties, she couldn't find time for her son. Despite her imposing appearance, she has a soft heart and especially with Elaen. Upon learning that her son will only maintain the marriage for three years, she suggested adopting her as her own daughter.

Kiahendel Corenea
Only child of the great mage Kanessis, just like her, he has a beautiful appearance but an explosive temperament, like a soft heart that he doesn't share with anyone. He feels a great affection for Elaen but his mission, being very dangerous, does not allow him to last more than three years with her. As Elaen grows up little by little, he will develop feelings of jealousy and love towards her. Despite not getting along well with his mother, he begins to collaborate with her to save Elaen's life.

Opinion of "I'm Living With My Mother-In-Law"
I'm Living With My Mother-In-Law, from the beginning it seemed interesting to me, I loved the variety of characters they created and how beautiful both the details and the setting are. At first I thought it would be a weak story but as you go further, you notice more the complexity of the plot.
Its argument is nothing out of this world but it really manages to hook you in. It angers a lot the attitude and actions of the protagonist's disfigured mother. It’s not enough to scold her just for being a girl, but she forces her to take medication that doesn’t allow her to grow and to complete, sell her to an old pervert. But her story gets better when she marries Kiahendel, deceived but it was better than continuing with her life as it was.
Living now with her mother-in-law who loves her like her own daughter, is like finally seeing a beautiful reward after so many hardships. But not before going through several tests such as her growth, the harassment of a woman who wants her husband, the demon wanting her body and last but not least the love of a boy she is hopeful with.
Sincerely this story has a lot of content both happy and sad and at the same time a plot with some twists that one sees coming but at the same time does not, it is easy to read, it can be really entertaining. Now, would you like to read this story? Has it caught your attention? What do you like about this story?
