"The Monstrous Duke confused me with his wife" is a story that honestly doesn't appeal to me much because of the cliché of the story, however it is entertaining. The plot is somewhat predictable and a bit slow, but it unfolds and takes shape as the story progresses.
The protagonist is the typical girl who does not want the book’s story to put her in danger so she tries to stay as far as possible from her plot. But due to circumstances of life she meets the villain of the novel, who has a curse that forces him to devour people when it gets out of control.
She is almost one of the victims, but immediately hits him and ends up taking care of him out of remorse. Luckily for her he loses his memory and, of course, he distrusts her but leaves her alone to see her intentions... in his constant observation, he ends up “falling” for her, to the point of confusing his actions. He thinks they must have known each other before, lovers? Hidden wife?
The protagonist doesn't know what to do to explain that her conjectures are wrong when he does not want to hear about it. All this takes place while they try to survive the constant threats against the duke’s life.
